PICK UP & DROP OFF INFORMATION
Parkcenter Building (Kindergarten to 5th Grade)
School Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 am
Parkcenter Boulevard is a busy street in the morning. To combat this, we are increasing the drop off time to prevent (hopefully) everyone from arriving at the peak of rush hour – 8am. Also, classroom instruction begins promptly at 8am. Dropping your students off just a few minutes earlier will give them plenty of time to enter the building, deposit their belongings and organize the beginning of their day.
Please pull forward along the front of the building to drop off you children in the morning. If you want to walk them inside, please park your car in the parking spaces to your right (when facing the building). Thank you in advance for not leaving your car unattended in the drop off area, as this will throw a wrench in the entire master plan. We ask that students be dropped off no earlier than 7:30 a.m. to ensure proper supervision by school staff.
PICK-UP
K, 1st & 2nd graders are to be picked up in directly in front of the school.
3rd, 4th & 5th graders are to be picked up by the bank building drive-through.
Older siblings are to wait in the designated spot for their youngest siblings (ie, 5th graders wait with their 2nd graders in front of the school building, etc.)
Do not leave your car in the drive up areas. We will bring your children to you. As we become more familiar with you and your vehicle, this process will become more efficient.
For safety, please refrain from talking on your cell phone while driving in the parking lot.
If you choose to park and wait for your child(ren) outside the building, please wait by the picnic table in front of the 5th grade classroom. There have been so many joyful and exuberant parents (thank you!) outside the front door that it has been difficult to actually get the students past the Kiss & Cry area.
With our increased enrollment we appreciate your patience as we continue to learn how to make this process better for everyone.
Middle School
School Hours: 8:15 am to 4:15 pm
When dropping off and picking up, please enter the parking lot from Miller Street (traveling either east or west), turn immediately right to circle the parking area and exit the parking lot through the “alley” on to 9th Street (See the MS Traffic Flow Diagram for reference). MS staff will be present to help direct traffic. To make this an efficient process, and to prevent traffic from backing up onto 9th Street, we ask that you remain in your car when delivering or retrieving your students. If you must park, please realize that you will not be able to back out of your parking spot until the traffic flow has subsided. Additionally, in the interest of safety, students must be dropped off in the parking lot and not on the adjoining sidewalks.
