September, Tue 23, 2014 - Sage International
As it is the first day of Fall, hear is a timely reminder…
There is no school next week! Sage will be closed from September 29th – October 3rd. Esage will be open, however. Please contact Arron Walton if you would like to register your student(s) for the program next week!
After much consideration, we have decided to leave the bus routes and schedules “as is” for the time being. As cold weather is upon us (really, it’s coming… ) we recognize the possibility that more riders will be joining routes on a regular basis. Also, we currently have several families who have registered but have not been riding to this point. If you number among these, Mr. B will be reaching out to you in the next few weeks so we can create a more accurate list of likely riders heading into the Fall/Winter months.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the practical and hypothetical logistics of this New-to-Sage program. As with all things, there are costs associated with running each Home/School bus route. Any decisions we make are based in our desire to find a balance between serving our community AND being good stewards of our public (State Department of Education) and private (Mind the Gap) funding.
MS/HS SKI TEAM
Ski season is right around the corner (really, it’s coming….) and we are gearing up for another great year. This will be the second year for Sage’s Ski and Snowboard team. Interested ski and snowboarders of all levels - novice to advanced - are welcome to join. In addition to downhill and freestyle, nordic racing will also be added this year for the first time! Currently the ski team is looking for one more advisor and a few good volunteers to help out in case someone gets ill. If you are interested in registering or have questions about Sage’s Ski and Snowboard team, please contact Anja Baird with questions.
SHOP FOR SAGE & FRED MEYERS REWARDS
We haven’t talked about this for a while, but wanted to point you in the direction of our Shop For Sage page on our website. This free program helps us raise money for the school whenever you access your favorite stores from the links on our webpage. When you make a purchase Sage earns a small commission without any additional cost to you. If you are already shopping at Amazon or Orbitz (to name a few), add a bookmark to our gateway link and every eligible purchase will earn a little extra revenue for the school.
Also, if you shop at Fred Meyer and currently use a Rewards Card, you can link it to Sage International School (click here) and Sage will earn rewards right along with you. Our FM non-profit # is 80882. If, however, you prefer to do your shopping elsewhere, please continue to do so.
