We have recently updated the vendor links on the Shop for Sage page of our website.  As the holiday season is upon us and you may be arranging travel or other purchases, please consider clicking through the portals on this page.  We are currently linked to Hotwire, Orbitz and the ubiquitous  You will also find new links to Kitchen Aid, 2modern, Sierra Trading Post and Uncommon Goods.   This is a completely safe and secure way to shop. Once you click a link it will take you directly to the retailer’s website. You have likely heard that the per-student funding provided by the State of Idaho is the lowest in the country - about $5,000 per-student.  Idaho charters, like Sage International, must operate at this funding level.  In contrast, traditional public school districts can supplement their per-student state budget by passing local levies.  These levy funds typically go towards their facilities-related expenses.  For example, the Boise District supplements it’s $5,000/per student state budget with $4,000/per student levy funding sources not available to charters.  These local levy funds are how traditional public schools in our area ‘keep the roof over their heads.'  Sage International cannot pass a levy and does not receive levy funds from Boise School District levies - those tax dollars only go to district schools, not area charters.  Instead, Sage International ‘keeps the roof over its head’ through Mind The Gap - our volunteer, grassroots, community-supported levy - $475 per student. With this level of support from our community, we are able to ‘keep the roof over our heads’ and deliver our students a world-class IB education.   

MTG Update…

So far this year 9% (54) of currently enrolled families have participated to collectively raise over $33,000 in support.  Thank you!   Research show that charter schools that experience 100% community participation in their fundraising campaigns (at a level that is right for you) are the most successful in attaining their educational goals.  While we ask for a contribution of $475 per student, please consider an amount that fits within your family’s budget.  Donations can be made online or in person.



Big Building – Please remember to pull forward in the pick-up lane and stay inside your car.  We will get your students to you (we promise!)

Little Building – Students who aren’t picked up by 4:15pm will be waiting inside in the front of the building – not in back.  If you are picking up after this time, please park and come inside.

On January 10th commitment letters for the 2015-2016 school year will be emailed home. Sibling Lottery Registration forms will also be distributed at this time. Siblings of currently enrolled students will receive priority placement in the lottery held on February 26th, 2015. Please contact us if you have any questions.


EF High School Exchange Year is currently seeking host families for the 2015-2016 school year.  You can choose from over 13 countries and 2600 students that best fit your family lifestyle.  Sage currently has 5 High School exchange students staying within our community.  If you are interested, we would be happy to put you in contact with a current family to find out more about their experience.  If you would like more information on the program, please contact Maureen Tyczka.
