Open Houses (Today!)  & Transportation Take 2

August, Thu 14, 2014 - Sage International

Please join us this afternoon and tonight as we kick off the new year!  All three school locations are hosting open houses as listed below:

Downtown (8th – 11th) Orientation – August 14th (Thursday) 5 – 7pm @ Downtown Sage

Parkcenter (K – 7th) Orientation – August 14th (Thursday) 6 – 8pm @ Parkcenter

Kindergarten (Full & Half) Orientation /Meet the Teacher – August 14th (Thursday) 2 – 4pm

This is a great time to mingle with old friends and make some new ones.  As well you will be able to tour the facilities, visit with staff and drop off/organize your school supplies prior to the first day.  Additionally, the Sage Community Network has arranged for food trucks and music at the Parkcenter location!  If you have never been to our new Parkcenter location, take a moment to look at the site map for the school’s entrance.  And a reminder to please refrain from parking on the northern end of the parking lot by Smokey Mountain Pizza (parking map).

Below are answers and clarification for some of the questions we have received…

  • Half-day Kindergarten is from 8am – 12pm.  These students will be picked up in front of the little Parkcenter building.
  • While you don’t have to register with Caldwell transportation to ride the bus, we do ask that you fill out a Home/School Bus Registration Form for Sage so that we can track your students properly.  Please email completed forms to Will Bogdanoff.  You may also drop them off at either Parkcenter front desk.
  • For new 8th – 11th grade families, please familiarize yourself with the Downtown Traffic Flow Plan.
  • The Esage afterschool program will be held in the little Parkcenter building.  2nd – 7th grade students who are participating will be walked over after school by an Esage teacher.
  • We’ve received some inquiries as to the best/safest routes for students who are biking to school.  We hope to have something for you in the next little while.  In the event it doesn’t go without saying, please make sure bikers are wearing visible clothing, helmets and (when applicable) reflectors and lights.

Please continue to let us know what questions remain.
