PSAT & 6TH - 11TH Grade Parents’ Night

October, Mon 13, 2014 - Sage International

Here's a few important upcoming dates for Middle & High School students...

PSAT/NMSQT - Wednesday, October 15th

10th Grade Students - Free/All Students

All 10th students will take the test on October 15th at no cost to the student.  This test will provide students with an opportunity to practice the test before “it counts” and know areas to practice for future testing.

11th Grade Students - $14/Optional

The PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is an optional test for 11th graders. However, it is required for any students who want to be considered for National Merit Scholarships. $14 Fee is due to Mrs. Jackson (checks written to Sage). This will also be the last chance to take the PSAT before they take the SAT in the Spring 2015.

SECONDARY (6th - 11th) PARENT NIGHT - Tuesday, October 21st - 6pm @ Dowtown Sage

This month's Parent Night is for parents of 6th-11th graders and will center on "Being Reflective" (one of the IB learner profile attributes).  Teachers Stefanie Shebley and Lindsey Lockwood will be joined by a student panel of 6th-11th graders.  This team will share strategies for students and parents to reflect on students' progress as IB learners at each grade level, including:

  • Using Skyward to track due dates and progress toward learning targets
  • Sage's scaffolded approach to homework
  • Opportunities for extension of learning beyond what's taught in the classroom

CHEERS!
