International Baccalaureate: About the PYP Programme

Designed for ages 3-12, Sage International’s IB Primary Years Program follows a prestigious transdisciplinary curriculum of international education that fosters the development of the whole child. The PYP strives to engage hearts as well as minds by focusing on encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic growth.

Sage International employs the best practices from a range of national systems and draws on a wealth of knowledge and experience from International Schools to create a relevant, challenging, 21st century educational framework.

At the heart of the PYP’s philosophy is a commitment to structured, purposeful inquiry as the leading vehicle for learning. Sage International’s PYP is guided by six Units of Inquiry that provide the framework for exploration and study. The six transdisciplinary themes transcend and articulate conventional subject boundaries through themes of global significance:

  • who we are
  • where we are in place and time
  • how we express ourselves
  • how the world works
  • how we organize ourselves
  • sharing the planet
