Sage International School of Boise prepares its students to become true citizens of the world community, equipped to participate and engage in local and global issues.
Sage International is a public school of choice offering students in grades K-12 an inquiry-based education modeled on the International Baccalaureate Program (IB). Sage International is an authorized IB World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is a Candidate School for IB's Diploma Programme (DP).
Sage International's IB-based curriculum focuses on building life-long learners, complex problem solving, increased global understanding, rigorous math, reading, language arts, and technology curriculum. We offer our Primary School students French, art, music, and physical education.
Academically, in 2010, Sage International School scored in the 97th percentile in reading, mathmatics and language arts, making it one of the top performing schools in Idaho.
Sage International currently has 480 students at two locations in Boise: a Primary School (grades K-5) and a Middle/High School (grades 6-9). In 2016, Sage International will grow to a full K-12th Grade school with a maximum of 700 students.
Our academic program runs Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Primary School. The Middle/High School program at the downtown location is also Monday through Thursday; the core hours for all students are from 8:35 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. Middle school and high school students may also attend a zero-hour class from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. and/or the extended day class from 4:15 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. to earn extra credits or to participate in additional elective opportunities. On Fridays, middle and high school students work independently on classroom projects at home, participate in Creativity, Action, and Service hours, or complete online courses which can include Advance Placement (AP) or concurrent enrollment coursework. Sage also offers an enrichment program (E-Sage) for students after school and on Fridays.
